Star Wars Saga - Gaining More Skills

I was looking over SW Saga Edition and the skill rules. Other than taking the feat Skill Training (I think that's what it was called), is there any other way to get more skills besides those that you start with at first level?

(Apologies if this is in the wrong forum - mods please move if necessary.)

If you mean get more skills added to your class skill list, then no...I don't know of one.

I guess you could take Skill Focus in the skill in question to add +5. That'd make it SEEM trained, but you couldn't Focus it again to max it.

Sorry, you can't even do that. While not listed as a prereq as such, the description of Skill Focus specifies a trained skill.

There's also a widely-praised house rule that, instead of taking one of a class's starting feats, you can take Skill Training in one of that class's skills when multiclassing.

You can raise your Intelligence. You get another skill every time your modifier increases by 1.
Hmm, I guess that's one way.

Interesting idea - cheers.

Liking the skill system lots. Not liking the fact that new skills seem hard to get. Ho hum.
