Hello all, I'm deciding to start up a new Star Wars d20 Game. It will be 4,000 Years before TPM, KOTOR Era ish. 3 Characters, choices are either Jedi Guardian or Consular, any species is acceptable.

Character creation will be 4th Level, 4d6 Stats, remove lowest number for all stats. Here's the background:

Star Wars: The Lost Master

Jedi Master Tryfux Ta’karn. A Legendary Swordsman among the Order of his day. He had completed countless missions, defeated countless enemies, had learned techniques thought impossible to master for thousands of years. His students looked up to him like an idol, the model of the Ultimate Jedi Swordsman. In the underworld, he was known as the Unseen Blade, for once he saw you, you never had the chance to turn your head and catch a glimpse of him.

But while being such a spectacular Jedi, he was in effect, a loner. He spoke to almost noone, taught his students through combat, not words. He had no real friends in life, except for one. Jedi Master Allyson Kaymore, considered perhaps as good with the Manipulation of the Force through healing as he was with a saber. She herself had saved thousands of lives, and was revered by people galaxywide. Some considered her a Saint, created by the Force to heal the sick.

The two of them confided in each other, looked out for one another. Over the course of many years, something happened between them forbidden by the Jedi Council.

Love.

They tried to keep their forbidden love a secret, but eventually it was discovered by the Council. Master Kaymore was cast out of the order, being seen as to blame for the tragedy. A Jedi as pure as Ta’karn would never do something of his own volition, in the eyes of the Council.

Kaymore’s heart was shattered, as she was torn from the love of her life. Filled with anger, she ran to the arms of the Sith, disappearing from the eyes of all.

6 months ago, Ta’karn was ordered on a mission to Corellia, but instead, he fled, in search of Kaymore, to convince her to leave the Sith and come with him. The Council was shocked at his decision, and was unwilling to lose Master Ta’karn over a woman. That is why they have decided to send 3 of his best students out to his last known location, Rodia, to find him.

I'd love to join up too. I'm thinking either Twi'lek or Human, Counselor. I'll handle the sneaky/talky side of things.

I can put a character up tomorrow for your approval. :)

Question for you:

When you say 2 classes - how would feel about a Counselor 3/Non-Jedi 1? I'm thinking (without the book) that I may need to mix in a level of scoundrel, fringer, or possibly noble to get the skillset I'd like to have.

So this is KOTOR era, roughly? Hrm...

Human guardian...

Rolled the following stats: 15 str, 14 dex, 14 con, 12 int, 16 wis (+1 for level 4), 9 cha. I'll do the rest of the write up later....that is, if I'm in, of course.

I'm pretty happy w/my stats - Irony rarely does me wrong. 17/12/13/10/10/14 - One spectacular stat, one fair, the rest average. Very much fits what I was thinking.

I'll have more details up soon.

That could possibly work Radish, if you can find a way to integrate how you picked up that level of Fringer if you catch my drift. Possibility here, perhaps your character accompanied Master Ta'karn on a 2 month mission in the Coruscantian underworld, and you picked up some street skills along the way, things you wouldn't normally learn in the comforts of the Jedi Temple. Just an idea. I'll allow it as long as you can make it work.

As for Galethorn, glad to have you in, Your the Third Member.

Actually, looking over it, Cons. have all but one skill I need, and even taking Scoundrel at lvl 1 only gets me 8 points. So I'll go straight. However, my background will still be pretty similar to that. ;) I picture Maev as someone that's on the edges of acceptable Jedi behavior, but someone that is fully committed to the Force.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through creation at this point.

Next question: How do you feel about him being a "Near-human"? Stats as a human, but slightly differing appearance - slightly colored skin, a bit different physiology, nothing mechanical, just flavor?

That could integrate well. Perhaps you were the result of a failed Genome enhancement experiment or something, maybe exposed to huge doses of radiation as a child. I like it.
