I am very hopeful myself, it looks like they are keeping things the same, just with fresh faces (which is a cost reduction).

Is it just me, or has one of the guys in the cast picture been in SG-1 before (as the technical expert that helped them develop their hyperspace plane)?

That would be David Hewlett, reprising his recurring Stargate SG-1 role of Dr. Rodney McKay.

There we go! He was kind of annoying in SG-1 (but I guess the last episode he was in wasn't too bad). I just hope they make his character more interesting.

Oh no - it's Mr. Egotistical (you know - the guy Carter told to "Go suck a lemon.") I hope they tone down that element of his personality (or kill him off very quickly ).

I agree. I hated him as much as the politicians that always come on trying to shut the program down (and I think they tried to set him up as hate-able...)
