Stargate Atlantis:Season 2/8.12.05

Truth Seeker

Adventurer
"Condemned", Episode #205

The team visits a technologically advanced planet that is mysteriously unharmed by the Wraith.

Cast: Joe Flanigan, Torri Higginson, Rainbow Sun Francks, David Hewlett, Rachel Luttrell, Paul McGillion, Jason Momoa, Mitch Pileggi.

Well...after last week's Duet dance...which I found to be be funny. And there was a great use of third tier characters *don't get to see that often* , and the training of their new tall, brutish, I-will-hurt-you-as-I-please, strongman...well, time to go work as they say. So, ya think that all knowing great ego scientist, will ever get it right? With a lady:lol: .

Nerds are so...cool.

Yeah, I got a smile out of that, but I didn't like the way the jumper suddenly is vulnerable to cannonballs. In one episode we have a jumper taking out a gould capital ship with one shot, later we see a cannonball knocking a jumper out of the sky. :\

I think it was implied that the bombs may have used the same supermineral that the mainland uses for power.

Yep. Plus the first shot apparently took out the cloak, weapons and shield. Bullets may just bounce off, but this place apparently has some sort of mineral, perhaps naqueda.

I can see one lucky shot doing all that.

That just made me notice a continuity error. Sheppard had said that the first shot took out their weapons systems, but McKay was able to route power to them to shoot the wraith ship. I guess he could have done something to the weapons, too, but he certainly wasnt fixing anything on the outside of the ship.

Well, think about it. "taking out the weapon systems" simply means that the shot did something to damage the ship so that the weapon systems werent currently working....

Its enterily possible that the blast did something that cut the power off to the weapon systems, or destroyed some sort of power supply. Thus when Mccay re-routed power, theyhad just enough for 1 shot.

I like what they've been doing to develop some Wraith as individuals. For example, the guy in this episode was actually willing to treat certain non-Wraith as anything but food.
