I really enjoyed this episode... except for the very ending. Geeze. At least have the consequences carry over to the beginning of the next episode, people!

I had a lot of issues with this one in that it is the same crap that happen to Ford! Is he off the show that they now had to finish his character idea? Show need to find a focus or at leat start showing Tela (sp) in less clothing.

I think the producers realized that Ford didn't really have anything going for him. He was essentially a red shirt until his brush with death. The team will no doubt find him again by the end of the season and either bring him home or kill him. I'm happy with Ronin, his replacement. As for the episode, it was solid work for an otherwise cliche storyline. Disappointing that Shepherd was back to normal already by the end but oh well.

Ford might make a reappearance next season. Now that they've cured Shepherd, they might have something for Ford if they find him again. I agree that they didn't know exactly what to do with his character. He was the young optimist, and he needed a tragedy, I think. Though, I still don't know what they would do if they bring him back. I could live with him as a recurring character who they run into randomly.

I loved seeing Pilleggi do the "In spite of what you think of my intentions, I'm not your enemy" thing. 'Bout time they had an X-Files homage.

I'm curious as to why Ford was written out of the series. Did the actor get canned, or did he need time off for some personal reasons?

The producers went another direction with the show. They decided that the character was not working and introduced this story to give the actor something to do.. albeit in a guest role. He is the focus of the Mid-Season cliff hanger BTW so we'll see him in two weeks.

I've seen the episode - "The Lost Boys" - and it's pretty good.. though predictable it is nice to see Rainbow back again. There is something good about being a member of the press from time to time... The SG-1 finale is good also.

The problem was that Ford was "Token Black Guy #1." He had no real history, personality or driving goals. I guess the producers decided it was more difficult to work such things into his character, and went with a new one instead.
