Still not too impressed with the wraith, still need to build the background, aka vampire/lich lord stuff, wonder what a zath two shots would do to one or a staff weapon. :D

Overall a good show, nice building for climax battle.

Not bad. I still can't stand Tayla (sp?), and I'm bothered more by the wraith hairstyles than the wraith themselves, but better than another gravel pit episode (y'know, where all the "off-world" action is filmed in a Canadian gravel pit?).

Cheers
Nell.

I think the problem with Tayla is the writers don't know what to do with her yet, so she is a hybrid wraith, what to do...while she is attractive (very) and I think they want to build a relationship they are holding off, why, maybe the Kirk hook with Sheperd, a girl on every planet, or as Carter a guy mooning over her on every planet. ;)

Y'know, Atlantis is really turning out much better than SG-1 of late. The pacing is good, and the character interaction is fabulous. I do wish the wraith were more than boogeymen, but hopefully season 2 will fix that.

Just hang in with me a second here...

One of the things I liked about Farscape was the evolution of the costumes over the seasons. Crichton went from a white t-shirt and a flight suit (Season 1) to leather and body armor. I'd like to see, over some time, a similar evolution in SG-Atlantis. I don't know what they packed, but they can't exactly run out to Wal-mart for another pair of briefs anymore (which makes one wonder -- how long did it take them to figure out how to run the coin-op washer/driers on Atlantis?).

It doesn't need to happen overnight, of course, but it'd be cool.

Cheers
Nell.

finally saw this episode ... not to bad,

knowing a bit more than the characters, I gotta say even if the wraith did make it to our galaxy I think we'd be okay ...

asgard, jaffa, taari, goa'uld ... etc there's plenty of spacefaring races with big guns that knock them off of their perch ... of course some alliances between certain groups might be bad.

but I'm just babbling ... and I want to see the wraith get a big fat bloody lip and back down a bit
