Stargate RPG D20

Ok, I have not given up on this game, just been kind of busy lately,
First off, unless you want to play a character with a Negative Modifier, raise the score to 10

second,
i am not familiar with Stargate: Atlantis, watched a couple shows, but only caught part of them, so dont count on that

I will trust the players as far as rolling stats for characters, but once the game starts, I think i will use a dice roller on the net

glad to see that there seems to be interest in this game, will try to check back more often

More details, ok, the game takes place in the future, about the year 2025, the Gua'uld(sp), are not such a problem anymore, Cheyenne Mountain is officially on "Standby", Stargate is now the only operation there, Earth has 3 starships, used by Stargate Personnel on some missions.
This game will not be really heavy on combat, dont get me wrong, there will be combat, but it will also be exploration, diplomacy, archeology, doing research-type stuff,
The System Lords have all been severely weakend by fighting each other and Anubis. Anubis is the most powerful System Lord now, and continues to be a problem for the various races.

Biwar, you said Earth will have three ships...are those three "new" ships, or will that include the two X303s that SGC already has in the series (the Prometheus and the Daedalus)?

Still a little unclear on stat generation. I just rolled a set at Invisible Castle and they came back:

STR 17
DEX 16
CON 15
INT 13
WIS 11
CHA 7

Now that's obviously pretty darn good, except for the 7. So should I generate a new set until I get one that has nothing below 10, or just raise the 7 to a 10? Also, since the characters are 4th level, should we bump one stat by one?

OK, here are the revised stats for Jim Anderson (including 1 point bump for 4th level):

STR 12
DEX 14
CON 13
INT 15 (includes +1 bump)
WIS 13
CHA 10 (up from 7)

I'll get onto the character sheet ASAP.

Anderson is shaping up as a Smart Hero 3, Techie 1. I'm not sure of his starting occupation - either Technician or Military.

bilwar, what effect does wealth have in game - assuming that most of our gear will be supplied by SGC?

He's not such an annoying geek as I first thought. Rather, he's your typical gamer - a polymath, bright, somewhat obsessive about his areas of interest. He's interested in robotics (roll on Technician 4) and linguistics.

Do you have an example of a preferred character sheet I could use?

Wealth wont really play a part other then your personal off job possessions, everyone is assumed to have a house/apartment, a vehicle-car, maybe a motorcycle also
Any char sheet that has the modern skills, or room to write them in, is fine by me
