I still think the pacing is terrible. Why the hell was this an hour and a half, instead of a two-parter? And the ending was far, far too abrupt. Have these writers never heard of how to use a denouement, or are they still protesting the French? 
They just had too much story to pack into an hour, but for some reason felt they didn't have enough for a second episode. It's very, very frustrating.
