Starship Troopers 2

Come on, Prince of Thieves is a classic adventure movie! I watch it at least once every six months. It's great!

Call off Christmas!

- Waterworld (I don't think it deserves the thrashing it gets)

Since you mentioned this one, I have to say it...

It wasn't a bad movie, but the thing that really makes me grit my teeth is how *dirty* everyone is.

It's WATERworld.

WATER.

Use some.

One rather universally loathed movie which I actually like a lot is "Christmas Vacation." Just don't get the hate for it. I'm also a sucker for any Peter O'Toole movie, no matter how hard it reeks, or how minor his role. If he's on the screen, I'll watch it and love it.

I love Christmas Vacation! The ending is pretty weak but the stuff leading up to that is comedy gold. Probably the last movie Chevy Chase was actually funny in.

My list of shame also includes

Godzilla (1998) with Mathew Broderick - I just like like it. I don't know why (and I like other Godzilla movies too)
Daredevil
The Hulk
Mystery Men
The Cable Guy (the first movie I found Jim Carrey funny in!)

Oh yeah, I admit it: Creator is one of the few films out there that consistently has proved that I can be as wussy and cry as anyone. There, I said it. Now let's go drink beer and hang out in strip clubs shalll we? I need to find my inner Guy again.

Hello,

My name is Del and I liked Johnny Mnemonic.

Crowd: "Hello Del".

Sure sure the studio trashed the movie and Molly had to be written out because some yokel owned the Neuromancer rights, but Gibson kept the visual concept of Cyberspace 3D nav accurate to his books and stories.

I just watch the movie for the net-running scenes. In fact there are several feasible ideas for a real world working net nav system in the movie, visual programming wise. I doubt we'll ever see vitual reality hardware that works like in the movie because of the blindness problem, though.

The movie makes me think, which is all I ask of a media product.
