I just checked IMDb and it stars a bunch of nobodies along with the chick that played Sue Ellen Mishkie on Seinfeld.

It is being directed by Phil Tippett, though, which bodes well for the sfx at any rate. I get the impression that it's more of a showcase for Tippett's directorial skills than anything else.

Wasn't Lion King 2: Simba's Pride a straight to video? That was a pretty good release. And before people ask, I have a 3 yr old.

[Hijack] My brother was an animator for Lion King 2. It was produced in Sydney, Austraila, which until last year, had only done direct-to-video releases.

Last year they had their first theatre release - Peter Pan 2.
