Starter Class: Spartan

I have just uploaded Starter Class: Spartan to the downloads area.

A SPARTAN starter class (5 levels) - a great way to get younger players interested in Dungeons and Dragons.

Summary:
The Spartan is a powerful fighter trained in the city-state of Sparta. While highly efficient with the sword and spear, the Spartan is particularly potent in combat with his Aspis (Spartan shield), which is often used to block the mighty blows of his opponents (and bash them to their senses).

Spartans only come from one place: the city-state of Sparta. They are elite warriors who train at a very young age. It is said that Spartan boys are thrown together in and arena with weapons against a grizzly bear as a rite of passage. Spartans can only be human.

Even though it's meant to be an introductory class for learning how to play the game, it seems even more complicated than the Champion fighter. Not sure why you listed a shortsword and spear under a new name for new equipment, but the new shield is neat.

Sorry for the late reply - the different names for shortsword and spear were used for historical purposes and for flavor. And yes -- For those who are great with building classes, then a standard fighter would be far more versatile.
