D&D 5E Starter Set from Amazon arrived

For those of you who preordered the Starter Set from Amazon, thought I'd let you know that mine arrived today (just a few minutes ago, actually) so you should be seeing yours soon, if you haven't already.

Amazon just notified me my Starter Set is on its way, so I assume I'll have it by tomorrow.

Something is really wrong with the pre-orders in Europe.
People don't seem to be able to get it before next week even though the release date is today.

The expected delivery date for me is next week Friday.
I got this response after I sent a mail:

your order xxx is still being processed at this moment as our supplier cannot deliver your item "Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set: Fantasy Roleplaying Fundamentals (D&D Boxed Game)" immediately. According to our information however, the item will be available soon. Our purchasing department is aware of the case and is trying to fulfil your order as soon as possible.


Does anyone know what might be going on?
It's like they don't have the things in stock even though you could pre-order them.

I pre ordered one from amazon.co.uk ages ago however last week I had an email saying that their supplier wasn't able to fill the orders or something. I cancelled it today and ordered it somewhere else as it was giving me a delivery estimate as august 8th-14th, which isn't long before the phb! I've preordered them from amazon as well so hopefully they will get those in stock for release!

Mine arrived. Waiting for me at home. Got notification not too long ago. Time to convert some monsters from other editions and the Tome books and see what the PCs can do.

I got mine today. Of course I found 20 Pathfinder books I didn't have really cheap at a used book store yesterday so not sure if I will make the time to read this just now.

It's accros all european amazon subsidiaries. Looks like they were not allowed to pre-deliver from the US to their their european warehouses to be able to send it out on the 15th from europe to the customers.

So they had to wait until today to start shipping from amazon US to their european subsidiaries and these now have to wait for it until they can then forward it to the customers.

And it looks like we have to expect the same issue with the PHB actually
