Has anyone else played any 1E lately, as a break from 3E or otherwise? I mean, I now lots of people still play 1E, and I certainly don't begrudge them their preference. We'll be returning to our main 3E campaign eventually, but for now we're going to do a good old school 1E dungeon stomp!
Yes - our group (after frustration with the current version of D&D), returned to AD&D. We have one campaign going right now where I am playing a halfling thief. There are five players in our group and our ages average around 35 years old.
I will be starting up my own campaign soon, using only the core 1st ed. books.
We are having a blast and now after having played 3.5 for a while and returning to AD&D, I understand what E. Gary Gygax means when he says,
