Perhaps more importantly than the size of the city is its composition. Not all cities of a given size are created equal. Here are some things that seem likely to affect game store success.

That's a very important point to stress. Simply put, some areas of the country just seem to foster a gaming culture much better than others. I know its like that for California certainly, where some areas in CA tend to have a much better gaming scene than other parts of the state.
