Well, I decided to start them off with the normal first level 100g and I think that is about right.
I've modified the Marauders of the Dune Sea module, with elements of the Vault of Darom Madar thrown in along with a few other twists and turns.
Again, a huge thanks to everyone who chimed in here and especially to Obryn for letting me know about the great Dungeon Magazine adventure. I second his opinion that it is really well done.
This is the first time I'm DMing in about 20 years, but luckily have a group of friends playing who are patient and kind... they're not trying too hard to break my game (yet
