Lavos is a little powerful I think, probably quasi deity. Some of the stuff he/it did: crashed on earth and quickly burrowed beneath the surface, absorbed power from the entire plantet over 65 million years, intigated alterations in DNA of humans so it could assimilate the genetic data (which had the effect of granting humans magic), caused warping of space-time by its very presence (thus the time travelling aspect of chrono trigger), and when it came to power annialated nearly all life on the surface of the planet. And it was big too.
