Stat block request for Giant Crayfish

DSC-EricPrice

First Post
I seem to have run away and left my Tome of Horrors at home. Anyone out there happen to have a 3.0 or 3.5 edition crayfish that they can paste in here? I was hoping to get some work done while I had some time available.

TIA

Just use the stats for a giant lobster; your players will never know.

(Seriously, though, how about using a monstrous scorpion with a swim speed and no sting?)

-Hyp.

I do not have any book with stats on a giant crayfish. However, when I used one in a game last week I found that a monstrous scorpion, large size in this case, worked fine if I just ignored the tail. I think the danger of it dragging you underwater pretty much makes up for the lack of poison as far as CR goes.
EDIT:It looks like Hypersmurf beat me to the punch

Surprised it's not in the online Creature Catalog. Anyway, just glancing at my AD&D 1st Ed. MM, the thing should be: Large size, AC 16, HD 4, Speed 15 ft (swim 30 ft), Attacks 2 claws (damage 2d6+ Str bonus). You'd have to come up with specific ability scores.

Doing as Hyp suggested, giving it a 30 ft. swim speed and no sting attack, converting it to Animal type with Int 1 and extra skills and feats as a result. This gives:

Giant Crayfish: CR 3; Large Animal; HD 5d8+10; 32 hp; Init +0; Spd 50 ft., swim 30 ft.; AC 16, touch 9, flat-footed 16; Base Atk +3; Grap +11; Atk +7 melee (1d8+4, claw); Full Atk +7/+7 melee (1d8+4, claw); Space/Reach 10 ft./5 ft.; SA constrict 1d8+4, improved grab; SQ low-light vision; Saves Fort +6, Ref +1, Will +1; Str 19, Dex 10, Con 14, Int 1, Wis 10, Cha 2.
Skills: Climb +8, Hide +4, Spot +8, Swim +12
Feats: Improved Natural Attack (claw), Weapon Focus (claw)
