Stat boosting spell questions

1. Why does Bull's Strength, Cat's Grace and 3 of the other animal stat boosting line require a material component, but Bear's Endurance does not?

2. Animalistic Power is a level 2 spell that provides a +2 boost to STR, DEX and CON at once. Is there an equivalent spell that does the same for mental stats?

3. Are there any other Arcane Stat boosting spells at level 2?

1. When one asks a question of why to those who cannot answer due to lack of mind-reading skills of the game's writers, one will end up with answer such as: We don't know why.

2. Research it! It's more fun to roleplay and create in game than to just have it handed to you.

3. Alter self can "boost" stats sort of. Bard spell "rage" I think does boost strength.

1. Because at the time you need the Endurance most, your component pouch is out of reach on the nightstand.

2. "Humanist Education"? Just research it.

3. Extended Enlarge/Reduce Person.

I must admit, I don't really research spells much, but the mechanic is there, and I should make better use of it.

Actually Alter Self doesn't change stats.

There are 6 stat boosting spells, all 2nd level, one for each stat. What other stat boosters would you want/need?

There are other spells that combine boosts for several stats, the way Animalistic Power though usually smaller boosts or at much higher level.

The physical stat boost spells are 1st level for the Sand Shaper PRC, by the way.
