Stats for the thinblade?

As Orm said Make sure you pick up an extra Thinblade when you can and keep it stored. The Bladsinger in my group found out haviong an extra longsword is needed when I sundered his. Luckly his henchmen had one that he could borrow shortly till he could get one.

I allow my bladesingers to use the thin blade as well as longsword for the class since thinblades are an elvish sort of weapon. They run across one or two in elvish hands before.

I have to admit I found it rather odd that Arms & Equipment Guide included the most stupid weapons evar (mercurial swords), while not including the far more sane thinblade.

What I find ironic is that the character boxstop had that died in my campaign on saturday was using two mercurial greatswords! And he claims he doesn't power game! Just kidding Jason....

Thinblade is
1d8 18-20 crit and can be finessed like a rapier but required an exotic feat and costs 100gp with 3lb weight...

The current bladesinger (in Races of Faerûn) allows Longswords and Rapiers - the thinblade could and should be added to that. If you use your thinblade, you can use a longsword or rapier (but you probably don't have feats for that type of weapon, so your combat ability will be lessened).

As a sidenote: I introduced weapon familiarity for every race IMG. Elves get the elven thinblade (it's a martial weapon for them, though they don't get free proficiency with it. So fighters can use it, wizards can't)
