Yes, Colbert's mentioned D&D on his show a few times. When DDO came out, he actually did a two minute piece about retiring his dice and his paladin character sheet.
 

That was a great bit. Although I think the industry has gotten fair press from Wil Wheaton and the likes of others, Colbert has the distinction of being on national television as opposed to print or electronic media.

Unlike other people when they "geek out" on television or some other medium, all of this language is correct. It shows he isn't just throwing together various items out of the PHB that make no sense to gamers, he uses them correctly. Bravo.
 

I find it funny that every single one of the monsters mentioned are the ones that are "protected content" and not in the SRD.

Also, 'Heal Light Wounds'? Was this an Olde D&D term that us post-1e people didn't get exposed to?
