Storing D&D Dungeon Tiles?

Take an old boxed set, dump out all the pamphlets and ta-daa an instant Dungeon Tile carry case that's thematically appropriate!

Edit: I see Glyfair has pretty much the same idea

My DM just uses a tupperware container large enough to fit the large tiles and tall enough to place smaller tupperware containers with the smaller tiles inside.

There's some great ideas here. I just throw mine in a tub - but that makes it quite difficult to find particular tiles (especially the small ones). I think I may have to adopt some of the ideas shared here :)

Depends on the individual tile: some tiles are a single 1" square, while others are nearly the full 8"x11" size.

Personally, I've been using the extra-large Ziploc freezer and larger storage bags. Allows you to see which tiles are inside, but keeps them from flopping all over.

Plus you don't have to worry about freezer burn...

My storage medium kinda sucks. I've got two accordian folders I use. One contains the bigger tiles, the other one contains the smaller ones. It's not the best method but I usually find what I need pretty quick.

Mine aren't particularly organized, but I do keep them safe and relatively easy to cart around by putting them in the box that the D&D Player's Kit came in (the one that has a paperback PHB, a few pamphlets and some dice).

Edit: I also put my Map Packs from Paizo in there too.
I do exactly the same thing.

Some good ideas but I am still waiting for the ultimate solution. If it comes up we'll try and make it.

DT5 was supposed to be a deluxe set with tiles and a carrying case but we couldn't find an OEM case that worked and it was too expensive to try and make the ideal version ourselves so it got scrapped for a normal tile set.

For now I will continue to lurk at the container store until I find the holy Grail :)

Ziplock bags according to size and type

Place into miniature starter box that has the blue and black dragons.

Works well for me.

Bags I use-
1x1, 1x2
4x4
2x2
2x4
Angels/ corners (small)
bigger ones I neatly stack within one box.

I have 8 -9 sets and fit them (along with the 10x10 starters) within two boxes.
