Stormwreck

I like it, but like some others I don't think it's as good as Sandstrom or Frostbrun. Those two made me want to start arctic and desert campaigns! :)

I really like Stormwrack. IMO, its Frostburn, Stormwrack, then Sandstorm. I would love to eventually run the first 3 Freeport modules with this book.

I like it. There are some things I prefer to use other d20 supplements for, but overall, it seems like it's of good utility, and for modeling of skill use for sailing, I like the way that they tow the line and keep within accepted skills rather than the route of making them up that some third party products have engaged it. I also find the classes, creatures, and adventures interesting and of great immediate utility.

I liked it better than Sandstorm, but not quite as much as Frostburn.

A couple of things I wish they had done differently, though:

1) I would've liked more material on actual 'underwater' combat instead of ship to ship.

2) They only gave Clerics one new spell and it isn't even that special, even though there are a lot of water-based deities in existence, while Druids and Sor/Wizards got a lot of new material.

I reckon it beat the absolute pants off of its predecessors. Its more useful in my opinion, since I'm big on maritime adventures and ships, and it wasn't full of hideously broken jank like the first two (Disciple of Thrym, Frost Mage, most of the spells in Frostburn; Sandshaper, and a good deal of Sandstorm's spells).

Its ship to ship rules and ideas are great too. And best of all, there's no "My lightning is more shocking than lightning" BS feat like the first two had!
