STR based Sling

Shouldn't ranged attacks from the sling be strength based rather than dexterity based since the force of impact is proportional to muscle driven spin?

I think the idea is that being able to aim the sling (Dex) is more important, but it's not a big deal either way. It only applies to basic attacks. (There's also a feat in MP2 to make heavy thrown weapons based on Dex, and one for vice versa with light thrown weapons, but I doubt anyone would ever take them.)

Well the sling bullet gets its energy from the sling spinning. Since the bullet is relatively light, the only thing you need to do to increase the bullet's velocity is to spin the sling faster, which would be dexterity related. So even the strongest goliath wouldn't be able to spin the same sling as fast as the dexterous David. Unless of course, the goliath's sling is BIGGER!
