Strange Wind Walk question...

First Post
In my last session, I had a player that out of desperation used a Wind Walk spell on a vampire, to try and force her into a gaseous form, so that she would be incapable of attacking. The spell allows for a saving throw, and the vampire failed. The question now is will the spell force her to change right away in five rounds, or is that under her control.

Next if she changes into the wind walk form, can she instantly change back using her supernatural ability or does the spell take precedence? I know it is strange, but I guess desperate times called for desperate measures :)

Creative, but imho ultimately futile.

The vampire should be able to return to physical form via his alternate form abilities afaict. However, on a creature that can't shapechange, this is actually a fairly brilliant plan.

I think for sheer inventiveness I'd be tempted to allow the players the five rounds of leeway to either flee or prepare something else. But yeah, against something else with a low Will save it's a good way to take them out of the fight for a few rounds.
