Streets of Shadows Dungeon Tiles - Anyone get it?

Uhh... What do you call all the cobblestone?

You weren't expecting pavement, were you? o_0

I guess what I was picturing was more segments of street lined with buildings, and providing different kinds of intersections, openings onto side streets, and so on. So that you could actually sort of lay out a city street plan.

My picture of a medieval/fantasy city is one with cramped alleyways, lots of turnings, cross-streets, and little gaps between buildings to duck into.

I would have skipped the sewers and included more varied streets-with-buildings-along-them pieces.

Just my own expectations here, not an assessment of the usefulness of the tiles.

What I like about the set is that it matches the map set from "Fantastic Locations: City of Peril", but I'd agree that the street/sewer dichotomy kinda limits your options if you do not have the maps.

Ditto that. I don't really understand why we get so many slightly different variations of dungeon tiles when there are so many outdoor/wilderness tiles still missing.

The 'Ruins of the Wild' set was the most useful set they ever released by a wide margin. Why don't we got more that are like these?

Looking over the encounter maps from P1 (King of the Trollhaunt Warrens), I was really excited about the outdoor encounters. But where are the swamp tiles? Where are the forest tiles? Where are snow/ice/cliff/rock/water/ruins/ship etc. tiles? There's just no good way to create wilderness encounters besides using a battlemat (or the aforementioned 'Ruins of the Wild').

Just give them more time.

The Tiles are easiliy the best thing they have ever created. They are versitile and easy to use and thus far I have found no sets I would be unwilling to buy multiples of.

But yeah- I would like to revisit some terrains and get into others also. All in time.
