In my next game I'm thinking of letting the players stunt with any skill they can justify rather than just acrobatics to break up the fight routine and make them more interested in their surroundings.
Some examples I was thinking of to give them to get their juices going and to keep in mind when making adventures:
Thievery check once in combat to poison weapons, giving an extra +d4(more with higher tiers/rolls?) poison damage to attacks until the end of the encounter.
Streetwise check(in cities) or Dungeoneering(in dungeons) or Nature(in the wild) then an Arcana check blast a building/cave/tree whatever at a weak point so that it drops on the enemy. Replace Arcana with Religion to blast it with Divine stuff, or an Athletics check to throw something/bash it onto the enemy.
Diplomacy and/or Intimidate checks to get bystanders to join the fight on their side.
A Nature check to slip through difficult wooded terrain as normal terrain and get the jump on an enemy.
Anyone else tried allowing non-Acrobatics stunts in their game? Or even good examples of Acrobatics stunts?
If anyone has any other ideas for using different skills to stunt in combat, I'd love to hear them!
