Stupid natural weapons question

No, I mean really stupid.
When it says '2 claws +6 melee', that means you roll twice for each respective attack, and do damage twice, right?

I'm certain it is so, but things one of my players said over the weekend put me in doubt.

Because the damage is only listed once, for one thing.

Roll a first d20+6. If it hits, roll damage.
Roll a second d20+6. If that hits, roll damage.

Since we're getting more and more descriptive:

Roll a 20-sided dice. Take the number on the top and add six to it. If the resultant number equals or exceeds the target's AC, then roll damge.

Rinse and repeat.

:D

And if there is no number noted, e.g. raven Claws +4 melee (1d2–5) or hawk Talons +5 melee (1d4–2), then they are combined in a single attack.

Thank you all.
As I thought.
But it is nice to be confirmed by such intelligent, erudite people.
Who have a sense of humor.
