Stupid Plant Tricks (Plant Growth meets Woodland Stride)

First Post
I know the Druid Ability Woodland Stride allows the Druid to move through non-magical overgrowth. Magical vines, thorns, etc like Entangle or Briar Web effect the druid normally.

On the other hand, Plant Growth is an instant effect that creates a large area of natural growth that slows movement. Does woodland stride work on this as well, or not?

Well, I'll disagree. The spell doesn't make the plants magical or anything, just makes em grow. So, I would allow Woodland stride through a Plant Growth'd area.

Sure the plants get bigger, but they're still just plants. They're not actually magical in any way after the spell is cast.

It appears that woodland stride works on any plants that are not moving. It does work against plant growth (an instantanious effect) as well as wall of thorns (a temperary effect) but does not work against entangle (as the plants actively try to grab you again)

I'm pretty sure y'all are wrong on the "druid can walk through wall of thorns because of woodland stride" -thingy.

from the SRD:
Creatures with the ability to pass through overgrown areas unhindered can pass through a wall of thorns at their normal speed without taking damage.

Woodland Stride is one of those "almost never used" Druid abilities, at least in our group. I say Kudos to a very useful but rarely applicable use of it, like walking through a Wall of Thorns.
