He cut off the finger, and then the ring came off just fine. So he promptly put it on his own finger, and was surprised when it wouldn't come off... and more surprised still to find out that it was cursed! He paid the party's mage top dollar to cast Identify and find out EXACTLY what it did, though. ^_^</blockquote>
