D&D (2024) Suggestions for a simple 1st level adventure.

Can anyone suggest a short first level adventure that would be suitable? Ideally it would be available in electronic format and have VTT-ready maps.
Another option would be to run the first section of Lost Mines of Phandelver-- the goblin ambush and Cragmaw Hideout. If you don't intend on running the full adventure for them at some point... that first module is a pretty good and relatively quick dungeon delve looking for the caravan leader and stolen supplies.

No. The biggest issue is "why bother?"

No one cares about Greyhawk apart from a few geriatric grognards who will throw their toys out the pram the first time they meet a tiefling.

Just start from scratch and make a 2020s GenericFantasyland.

For those who like Greyhawk, they can use the original publications, which had little crunch, and therefore work perfectly well for any edition of D&D.

A friend of mine recently asked me to run a short adventure with the new version of the rules. He only played D&D (and RPGs in general) once - for a few sessions - some 7 years ago.

His interest has recently been rekindled and he would like to play with his 14 years old nephew and 1-2 of his nephew's friends. He bought the Stormwreck Isle starter set and he intends to run it. However, despite my encouragement in jumping in, he would prefer to be a player first. So, he's asked me to run an adventure for the group before he takes the DM's mantle.

Since I don't actually have a lot of free time for this, it will have to be something short. No more than 2-3 sessions. I'm planning to run online with D&D Beyond and either the Maps tools from DDB or Owlbear Rodeo.

I have one DMsGuild. It is short and easy to run:

It's Christmas. I'm sorry for whatever in your life made you want to go online on Christmas Day and call people rude names. Genuinely. And if you want to talk, I can put you in touch with some great people. I know this can be a hard time for many. But I can't allow you to post again in this thread.

You really need to keep this simple.
A brief intro
A wilderness encounter
A 5-7 room dungeon with say 2 fights, 1 social, 1 trap, 1 puzzle, 1-2 interesting things to investigate
Satisfactory denouement
