I think the Disney production so far looks halfway decent, but I have to agree with the sentiment of reading the books asap.

check with your local library to see if they are Overdrive subscribers, or if they intend to go with the soon-to-be Baker and Taylor ebook provider, or someone else...

You would be amazed at how, at least in smaller libraries, patron suggestions will tip collection development.
