I have been thinking about putting my group against a dragon. The situation would mst likely be as follows:
Party is trying to recover minor artifact (relic) from tomb of dead paladin before group of members of cult of the dragon can get the said relic. The fight would be between cultist and the party and I had idea that leader of the cultists could use some kind of item to Gate in a dragon.
The party (I use favored class: any for all races):
Dwarf Sor 1/Clr 5/Dragon Dicipline 5 (Hufe Greatsword and hevy armor)
Elf Rng 5/Brb 6 (Two Bladed Gauntlets (I use 18-20 crit))
Human Rog 10/Divine Seeker 1 (throwing knifes)
Human Wiz 9/Arcane Devotee 2
What would be suitable encounter for that party? There will be 5-8 cultists, most low level fighters, leader cleric 8 or 9.
