I was a little iffy on the whole "only damages allies" thing, but they justified it pretty well, and made it seem MOAR EVUHL because of it, so cool.

Re-rolls are nice, and I can see them being distinctly attractive for any character who just missed with a daily or something..."okay, folks, this is going to hurt a little bit, but I HAVE to hit!"

Keen. :)

I like it... although I wonder if I'll EVER see a preserver... :P

Can't wait to see what the "paths" look like though.

Looks like all arcane characters automatically get the defiling option, just whether to use it or not. Same as the weapon breakage it offers the players a choice in those *This power must hit* situations.

Yeah but it mentions things changing after a while when you gain the moniker "Defiler" or "Preserver..."

So it looks like there will be at least a few token steps involved.

That is great news.

Defiling should be the default assumption on arcane power sources. Arcane PCs should be expected to defile. Being a preserver means you are taking the moral high road on a world where that is not supposed to be rewarded.

I am not sure that I am delighted by the role-playing consequences of the Arcane power source. It not always been my experience that linking power use to in world consequences is a good idea; less so when the arcane power source began balanced with the other power sources.

But I'll wait and see until the actual book comes out.

The minis picture now works...

The cloaker looks fantastic. The HUGE Hezrou and Draegloth look pretty good to as does the medium sized Spell Weaver. The Spell Weaver I am glad to see as I though they were a pretty cool creature from Dungeon back when Paizo was doing them.

According to Peter Lee there are new scuplotrs for this set and from what I see so far, I think they pass the grade and are an improvement IMHO.
