I’m not sure why, but I find it interesting that both GURPS and Savage Worlds are “#2” in the survivor list with exactly the same percentage. I’d be curious about the overlap between the people whose chose those two systems. It might be the same 11 people.

I know the last couple of years my gaming has gravitated towards them, and we still play PF1-currently Shattered Star.

That overlap, frankly, is probably close to zero. I'm one of the Savage Worlds voters, and GURPS is nowhere close to even being on my top 20 games I'd ever choose to play.

For those of us that prefer it, Savage Worlds is an expression of the kind of game we wished GURPS would have been---conceptually flexible with an elegant core, but without being so bogged down in minutiae and "absolute realism" that it destroys the fun.

I'm frankly astronomically shocked that 17% of poll participants (as of this writing) placed GURPS as one of their top 3 preferred options.

Especially since that's not what the thread is actually about. ;)

Those 17% are claiming the GURPS is one of the only three games they want to talk about at ENWorld, which is implausible, to put it mildly.

This poll puts to rest the notion that 5e is everyone's second favorite TTRPG, apparently only a third has it in their top three ;)
Yeah but its got a better ring to it then "every third person's second favorite edition". Imma stick with it.

Not quite. The poll is about which 5 TTRPG systems should survive The Great Purge, and individuals get 3 votes to inform that final list.

OK, I was going off of this:
Pick your top 3 TTRPG systems (not games, which might be why you see some stuff missing) to determine the TOP 5 systems EN World allows going forward.
If ENWorld is going to be removing all but five RPGs from reality, we need to talk to Morrus about how he's wasting his access to the Infinity Stones.
