Very soon....
Check later today. Thanks for asking!

edit: You know I was teasing about the plastic figs - afterall, I use pre-painted mastermaze all the time;)

50 lbs. lasts a long time - you could easily build the dungeon tiles Gnarlo did on 50 lbs. I believe.

Thanks, I got a bag in from Benco out in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Sold it to me for $60 and waived the shipping cost since I was a first time customer. Bruce sent me an email saying he shipped the molds yesterday.

I just need to set up a work space at home.

Scorch:

Hope your visiting the Hirst Arts site, as there will be a ton of guidance there.

I have bought 100 lbs of excalibur, and about 10 pounds of Plater of Paris.

That has produced A wizards Tower, the Upper level of the Temple of Mishakyl from DL1, the Crypt level from DL1, PLUS fill up 1.5 of those "cabinets" full of drawers (usually used for nuts and bolts) with finished bricks.

I still have about 30-35 pounds of my second box of Excalibur left...

It goes a good way...

My next project is the build the Moathouse from T1/RttToEE

Impressive but doesn't that take forever when you could play through it with a battlemat in a fraction of the time and be on to your next game before you've finished building your first room using bricks.

LOL, yea, that's kind of true...

Everyone has a different style though... as much as I love to play, my group doesn't get together very often... So far, I've been able to stay one step ahea do them.

As for being faster, well, sure, using a battlemat is faster than any 3d option. The more modular you make your dungeon (which I haven't done a very good job of...), the fewer pieces you have to make for the next dungeon.

Look at what was posted for the sunless citadel in this thread. Those pieces will be easily ported to what ever he does next... So, you just focus on making the pices for the next dungeon that you DON'T have... build up inventory so you can place as you go...

scorch: Nice set of molds there. I haven't gotten 205 yet, it will probably be my 5th mold in my next order when Bruce gets the 4 new gothic molds ready. I haven't used any of the dental plasters yet (though I think I've finally found a ceramic store in Atlanta that carries them, so time for a road trip next week); all my work has been in plain ol' PoP and Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty. Welcome to the addiction! I second what Pat says, be sure to check Bruce's site regularly and Voidgamers as well for some great inspiration.

Bagpuss: Once you get used to it, it really doesn't take a significantly longer time to throw a room together than to draw it (I have my dungeon rooms drawn out on graph paper showing what pieces go where, and I have all the pieces set aside before the game starts grouped up in rooms my players are likely to be going into, so it goes quick.) And, like Pat said, it depends on your playing style; my group likes the visual layout and the spectacle, so it's time well spent to them to see what the next room comes up as :)

Thanks. I just did my first test casting last night. The first came apart like wet dirt. The second had some pieces crack as they came out. The third one came out perfectly.

I am following the instructional videos that Bruce has on his site so I am mostly eyeballing the mix. Maybe I should instead premeasure before mixing. Gotta experiment.
