Sup wiv da Fractal Mapper 6.0?

I saw this product advertised at rpgnow.com for about $35 US. Looks ok and I've been looking for a mapper prog for a while, but I'm still not sure ($35 US = many many Australian dollars ).

Can anyone recommend it/condemn it? Obviously Campaign Cartographer is proabably better, but that is waaay too expensive for those of us with currencies not strong vs. the Greenback...

The RPG mapping applications "Autorealm" and "Arr-Kelaan Software's Hexmapper" are open source and freeware respectively, and pretty much cover all bases for me. I'd suggest looking into those first to see if they do the same for you.

It is a very good mapper. See www.NBOS.com for details. Easy to use and output looks nice. Still lacks the power of CC2 but for a sometime mapper a good tool. Download the demo and play with it.

Autorealm is a very good tool for dungeon maps.

having just been in Australia, I'd have to say that the US Dollar isn't all that strong against the AU Dollar. It's about $0.60AU - $1US . . . so, $35US ~ $58AU . . . it's not that big of a difference in my estimation.
