Super-Duper AC Man Returns!

This idea come from a thread in wizards forums.

Take a 20 level character, which is at least a level 8 egoist or level 9 psion. Take the psychofeedback power.

Buy 30400 dull gray ioun stones.

Extract 1 power point from each stone (you can do it according to the page 122 in PsiHB) and use all available power points (roughly, more than 30700) to boost your dex modifier by at least 15350.

We can start from that point and add prestige clasees and such. :)
Sigh

This idea was shot down in the very first thread it appeared. But for some reason it just won't die.

IIRC the problem is that activating one Dull Grey Ioun tone is a standard action. You can't activate all of them simultaneously.

Twin Sword Style gives an armor bonus that will not stack with Bracers of Armor. (Technically it only stacks with the armor bonus from armor and shield.)

Greater Aspect of the Deity lists +4 Wis for the Half-Fiend template. This is an error in DotF (it's supposed to be +0).

Greater Aspect of the Deity also gives you a +1 natural armor increase. (Not a +1 bonus.) I think this can be added to the +5 natural armor from the other potion?

Since you're using a lot of high-level spells you can't cast yourself anyway, you may as well throw in Divine Power (BAB = +20) and possibly a Tenser's Transformation (from a caster level 20 Miracle), for a total BAB of +30. (To be used with Superior Expertise.)

Armor of Darkness (FRCS) gives a maximum Deflection bonus of +8.

And if you really want to go crazy with the stat bonuses you should take a look at how many Empowers you can get with a maxed out Spelldancer (MoF).

Ooh, some good ideas there...
1. Twin Sword Style - I wasn't too sure about that one, not having my books on me. I couldn't recall whether it said it stacks with armor or with other armor bonuses.
2. re: Half-Fiend - Darn.
3. Good ideas for the Divine Power/Tenser's Transformation bit and the Armor of Darkness.
4. Spelldancers can empower a 2nd level spell more than 8x? Ewww... I never looked too closely at that class for some reason. I'll remedy that...

Thanks for the ideas! Who knows, maybe we can break 300... :D

How long do the bonus PP last? Could the psion activate them all and *then* use their power, or would the first ones activated lose their power before then?

Edit: Really stupid grammar error an editor should never make.

And as you probably know I have already seen those *shrug*.

I don't see any of my points proven wrong by that.

Just because wotc doesn't actually read the books they publish it doesn't mean we don't have to.

As far as your "tangible" and other words are concerned, to quote Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Remember, the ONLY words that "mean" anything pertaining to D&D are the actual SPECIFIED terms. As such, "tangible" doesn't change the item AT ALL because it is not an official term. It is merely a descriptor.

The FACT remains that Bracers of Armor are NOT armor, and therefore CAN be used by Monks without penalty. You just can't seem to admit that you misread. It happens to all of us, including me, and CRGreathouse, and Caliban, and even Upper_Krust.

That's what the rules discussion is for, to clarify such things. We have done so for you, yet you continue to debate.

Are you really interested in the truth, or do you just like to argue?

This is kinda beside the point, considering it would take you 50.7 hours straight to activate 30,400 Ioun Stones... :D

I don't think so. If the points lasted until used, you could activate them a week in advance.

Can you use 2 defending weapons and off ahnd parry?

Also, could you list this guys AC without any spells, then with them and Flat-footed and Touch AC too

Other Thoughts

I see no Cover bonus. Given that you took the Family Domain, any reason why you can't take Magic as your second cleric domain and throw a Scroll of Sheild in there as well. It also makes some of the casting a bit more likely.

Checking on Twin Sword....
Armor Bonus vs One opponent stacks. "This armo bonus stacks with the armor bonus from armor and shield.
