One time I ran a murder mystery in a vampire-themed inn. The owner had a Cloak of the Bat, and did everything he could to convince his guests that he was a real vampire. Unfortunately an actual vampire found the whole exercise rather tacky and decided to try to ruin the guy by actually draining his guests.

If I recall correctly at one point an angry half-naked dwarf punted a gnome through a door.

That was a fun adventure.
