[SW Saga] Defensive Jedi Build?

I wanted to get feedback on, first, whether the following build is legal, and, second, whether it achieves what I want. I am hoping for a defense-oriented Jedi – he will not do much heavy hitting himself (and wants to avoid using the Force offensively), but can protect the team while they do the heavy hitting. Note that I am going with the assumption that one can construct a lightsaber without taking 7 levels in the Jedi class, so long as one has 7 heroic levels. Note also that the errata affects the number of Force Powers one gains upon taking the Force Training feats multiple times. I could see him with a lightsaber in one hand, a blaster pistol in the other, ready to fire or strike, but mostly thinking of protecting others using Draw Fire and Harm’s Way, then Block and Deflect.

So much... negate energy! :p

I think that's way overkill. You'll never blow through 10 uses o power in one encounter, let alone 29! I think you should diversify your Force power set a little bit. You can have a primary tactic (defensive) without being a one-trick pony.

Still, very neat concept. :)

I don't see any glaring rules-breaking issues with the build.

Heck of a one-trick pony though with all the Negate Energy and Rebuke powers. GKJ3 does have a point, in that the odds of you needing all 20+ uses of Negate Energy are incredibly rare. I'd suggest dropping several of those and picking up some Force Slams (nice area effect attack) and maybe a couple Force Thrusts (keep away, since rarely should an opponent get a high enough Strength check to beat your UtF check) instead.
