Legend
Druid 7/Tamer of Beasts 6, able to charm 26 hit dice of critters. 26 eagles, all with an AC of 18 and an intelligence of 8, swarming the druid's opponents. If they think their master is in danger, they get a +2 to attacks, checks, and saves (plus they use their master's saves!)
So we have 26 eagles with the following stats:
5 hp
AC 18
Attacks: 2 claws +5 melee (1d3), bite +0 melee (1d4)
Fort +10, Ref +7, Will +7
Or, alternately, 52 cats (each 1/2 hit die), with these stats:
2 hp
AC 18
2 claws +6 melee (1), bite +1 melee (1)
Fort +10, Ref +7, Will +7
Or hell, 104 tiny vipers (each 1/4 hit die):
1 hp
AC 21
One bite +7 melee. A bitten target must make a Fort save (DC 11) or take initial and secondary damage of 1d6 points of Constitution. This is nuts, ain't it?
Fort +10, Ref +7, Will +7
Wahoo! In addition to being a hilarious sight to see, this would give all those Great Cleave fighters something to reminisce about for years.
