Among those changes, Crawling Claws are changed to a Swarm, of the Construct type.

Yeah, it was a construct in the original Monsters of Faerun book too.

Personally, I hate it when they do things like that. It is a bit of a person, animated by evil magic. But it's not undead, it's a construct. AFAIAC, if it swims and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

Similarly, in D&D using poisons are considered evil. Except that the poisons in the BoED are not evil, apparently for no other reason than because they are printed in the BoED. Why?
