Swashbucklery Items?

If one were to make a magical fencing weapon (rapier or main-gauche) that automatically adds to your AC (just like a defending weapon, but without the choice), what would the costs be?

Does a magical earring take up an equipment slot? If not, just double the cost?

Any ideas for magical tattoos or other seaman's/pirate's/swashbuckler's items?
