Swashbucliking Arcana in SL?

One of the things that interested me right away with the SA book is the whole 'bargaining' factor of four of the houses. Now entities from other planes made some family a bargain where they gain vast amounts of sorcerous power but every time they use it, they weaken the surrounding barrier between the world and the plane these entities come from.

Now I'm thinking, in the Scarred Lands, perhaps these beings are servants of Mesmo and each time one of these house mages use their power, Mesmo grows a little stronger, gains a little more essence. Any takers on that theory as a way to introduce these new schools of magic to the SL? Many of them are already hunted in their home campaign and this would be an interesting way to help insure that players weren't stumbling over themselves to take the new abilities offered here.

do you mean Mesos (titan of sorcery) or Mormo (the serpant titan)

It is an interesting idea. certinly the servents of the titans would do all they could to restore their masters. and deals aren't out of the realm of possibleities.

Well one way is to connect them to the Phyaltric Vault. After all they've already discovered chronomancy and oerionmancy. I certainly think that WOULD be a way of introducing the magics and keep them regulated. At least that's my opinion.

Mesos! Cursed spelling ability!

Between them and some tweaks with the chanellers from Wheel of Time where the mages gain madness points as they come closer and closer to the Sire of Sorcery, I have a nice selection of mad wizards I can throw at the party. Not counting other factors like Alienists.
