Sweden Game/Comic Stores

I'm going to be in south Sweden the week after Easter, (on business), and I'd like to visit a game store and/or comic store. Any ENWorlder in Sweden? Anyone here who can give me store names or pointers for where to look? I'll be in the Malmo/Lund areas, and I can get to Copenhagen (I'm flying in and out of Copenhagen airport).

I want to see what the geek culture is like there. I'd love to buy a game book or comic book in Swedish or with some Swedishness to it. (I know 90% of Swedes know English.)

I'd appreciate any ideas.

I know there are at least two Norwegians and a Finn (haven't seen him in a while though). I'm sure there are some, I mean there can't be a Finn on the board without somebody from Sweden to make fun of.

Well, I really did give it a think through, but Malmø/Lund is approximately 1500 kilometers from Trondheim, so I can't help you.

And to stay in character as a Norwegian (with my thounge firmly in my cheek (is that the correct idiom?)):

ENworld is a place for intelligent discussions between intelligent people, no wonder no Swedes are here ;)

(Or as the Swede said when his Norwegian neighbour boasted "Jeg er intelligent", "Inte jag heller")

Håkon
probably one of the Norwegians on here, but we used to be at least 4. And come to Trondheim the next time and I'll show you the town (or "small village" as any American probably would name the third biggest city in Norway)

You know Gulla, I suspect that joke went way over anyone who don't speak swedish, danish or norwegian. But you got a hell of laugh out loud from me ;). (Darn, You just got me to admit that I understand swedish :uhoh: )

But there has to be some swedes around. Who are we neighbours going to mock without them?

Not impossible to figure out with some help from teh intarwebs. And assuming like I think it does, kind of like various Southern states here in the U.S. I.E. the running joke about Georgia hosting the olympics in 96 as a way to boost the state's collective IQ several points for a few months.

It's something like, "I am intelligent", "Neither am I".

I'll probably be visiting Bergen, Norway in the summer, so I might ask this same question for Norway then.

And of course, to be fair, I'll ask my Swedish friends to tell me all about the Norwegians before I go. :-)

Well, I'm in Sweden now. I have one observation and one question for you Finn and Norwegian here at ENWorld:

Observation: Looking out my hotel window (second floor), I saw a kid down in the lobby with a comic book or magazine with Spider-Man on the cover -- still in a plastic wrapper. So there may be a geek store nearby.

Question: I had heard that Swedes wear a lot of black, and boy howdy, they do. Is this true of all the Scandinavian people? Everyone, and I do mean *everyone*, in the Copenhagen airport was wearing black -- surely they weren't all Swedes?

Hundreds of people in an airport, all dressed in black, and all quiet. It was kind of unnerving.

You should definetely come to Fantask in Copenhagen. It's the granddaddy of gaming/comic stores in Scandinavia.

You can reach it easily from the airport. This the address: Sankt Peders Stræde 18.

It lies very close to Nørreport Station, which you can reach with the Metro from the airport.

Here is a map of the area: Link
