Interesting, but I can't see how it would be better, for the same money, than putting a DVD Writer, a nice multimedia video card, and a wireless LAN card in your regular PC. Then again, I've had my PC connected to my TV and VCRs since 1994, so I may be biased. ;)

Glad to see you back on the boards, Torm!!! :D

* High-Definition Progressive Scan video output, Supports 480p, 720p, 1080i . An ideal video source for HDTV, plasma, LCD and projectors.

* DVI (Digital Visual Interface) video output

2 reasons. Oh and it's Region-Free.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the equivalent resolution for a DVD? Can a DVD show you a 1080i picture?

Normal DVDs are 480. Some DVD players "upscale" the signal to 720p or 1080i. I don't know of any DVD software that can do this. (I'm no expert though) :)
