Sweet warlock pacts article up

In fact, if I had one complaint, it's that I'd rather have seen a longer article by this team, detailing two or three sample patrons per type, rather than just one. :)
Same here. I only had time to read two patrons, but they are some good stuff.

Whereas I'm the exact opposite. I think this is one of Dragon's best short articles to date, precisely because of the flavor. The mechanics are just icing.

Yeah I agree, this article is now up there in my favorites list. :)

Well, it would be if DDI let me tag articles into a favorites list of some type. :)

So far I've been rather satisfied with every Warlock article (given that there's only two - Wish Upon a Star being the other, that's not saying much).

Warlocks are very... fluffy.

I can't read this article right now, but I've been looking forward to it for the fluff. I love the RP potential for patrons.

Wait, a Demonweb spider patron? I Hope that's for the Dark Pact, and not the Infernal pact. It annoys me when Demons get in on the Infernal pact when that's for Devils. :p
It's a Dark Pact patron. As I mentioned in my post - it suddenly makes the Dark Pact interesting to me. I wasn't intrigued by it before.

I didn't get to read the whole thing - there are Far Realms patrons mentioned in there too, right?
Is someone sitting behind you with a clock? Or Glock?

Yes. A "supposed comet" serves as a Patron. Story at 11 (or whenever you get to read the full article ;) )

My party's feylock has a fomorian as a patron. Elatha the Blind is a fomorian who blinded herself. She gouged out her normal eye, and has blocked her evil eye using an eyepatch made of cold iron and ensorceled with runes and rituals of sealing and binding. As a result, she has overcome the paranoia and insanity that grip most fomorians, and achieved "sight beyond sight". Of course, being a fey creature, that cold iron eyepatch must burn like all get out...

I'll definitely be using this article to help better describe Elatha and to establish the interaction between her and the feylock.

Best article in the 4e Dragon so far. There are at least 20 great character hooks in there. Now I'll be tempted to plead with my players to make up warlocks for an upcoming campaign, so I can work with them on their patrons.

I like that.

But no XP for you, because "You must spread some Experience Points around before giving it to Mentat55 again."...

This article, along with several hours spent in the character builder and the realisation of Spirit Poison awesomeness, has led me to develop a new favourite character. Until now, I hadn't managed to hit upon the right combination of race, class, feats and background/fluff that worked for me as a package deal.

Unfortunately I just realised the name I had chosen for my awesome new character was not made up by me, but rather remembered. I hate it when you think you made up an awesome new name only to find out it's from something you've come across before but forgotten about.
