If it helps at all, the latest trailer for the Star Wars The Old Republic MMO includes a brief shot of indirect-fire artillery in action, in the Old Republic era.

Does your vision of Star Wars include indirect fire weapons or not? That is what ultimately counts.

Galaxy at war doesn't give a description of the cannons, field gun, howitzer, or mortar... anyone know what they are exactly? They aren't what we know them as, as the mortar is just a long range grenade launcher (same damage as a grenade weighing only 1.5kg), the howitzer weighing 4kg same as a blaster rifle..., a heavy cannon only weighs 15kg...
Appearantly the cannons, field gun, howitzer, and mortar are the only indirect fire artillery pieces, and things like the spha are direct fire artillery as they are blaster based, and as far as I know, blasters can't do a high arc like an indirect fire weapon
