Custom, maybe not. But sure, as long as its just the spells available to your character. I've printed off spellbooks for three of my PCs...basic font, no color, draft mode...didn't even put a dent in my toner cartridge.

Well, a black ink cartridge is cheap...but I see what you're saying.

But I'd figure that a guy playing a 20th level cleric would be cool enough with the PHB layout to not have to do excessive page flipping during combat. If he's not cool enough with it, you can use the SRD to organize the rules into a format where you only have the stuff thats relevant to your character, and in a way tat you can find everything...which was the point of the suggestion.

YMMV, and all that. The ideal guy I want to play with knows how the spell works when his turn comes around. Either he knows it by heart, or he's already got reference ready, whether that be a spell card or a PHB open to the page.

Then again, I'd also like to live in a world with no wars, or poverty, or intolerance, or disease...

Formal rules? None that I can think of.

Informal rules? Tolerate mockery and try not to get in the way of anyone else's fun (or at the very least, try to recognize what's most important to your fellow players enjoyment and steer clear of that).
