  • Cubicle 7 Gets Lone Wolf! Joe Dever and Cubicle 7 Entertainment have announced that that they will develop Lone Wolf Roleplaying Games, and detailed colour maps of Magnamund - Lone Wolf’s iconic homeworld. Prior to Cubicle 7, Mongoose Publishing produced a Lone Wolf line, with editions in 2004 and 2010.
    • Joe Dever said, “I’m really very happy to be working with Cubicle 7, an excellent RPG company which I hold in the highest regard. I’m proud that Lone Wolf is now a part of their prestigious portfolio of games.”
    • Dominic McDowall, Cubicle 7 CEO said, “I grew up with Lone Wolf, and so it’s a dream come true to be working with Joe on this classic series. We’ve got some very exciting plans for the Kai and Magnamund, which we’ll be sharing over the coming weeks.”
    • There will be a Doctor Who/Lone Wolf crossover series (no, there won't - I totally made that last bit up; like in my head and stuff.)
  • Center Stage Miniatures signed a 5-year contract today with Frog God Games to produce 28mm Heroic Scale fantasy miniatures based on the award-winning "Tome of Horrors Complete." The line will launch with a new Kickstarter from Center Stage Miniatures on May 1st.
  • New Press Releases:
  • Gamemastering Numenera is an article by a certain Mr. Monte J. Cook about his upcoming RPG.

The Numenera corebook’s design and development are complete. There’s still a lot of editing to do, a few illustrations and maps to complete, and layout’s only just begun, but things are moving along quite quickly now. It’s very exciting to see it pull together. In coming weeks, you can expect to see a number of previews of the material inside, and discussions of how we created the game, and why we made the choices we did.

Monte goes on to talk about who drives the action in Numenera:

The question might mean, “Who’s more important, the players or the GM?” Again, the answer to that should probably be, “Everyone,” but that’s not true of many games–some of them great games. Or it could mean, “Who drives the action?” This latter question is probably too simple (again, everyone does, if everything is firing on all cylinders), but it’s the one I sort of seized on in my mind when I answered, “Numenera is GM driven.”
