- Behind the Monsters: Omnibus is a Pathfinder update of a 3.5 series from Tricky Owlbear Pubishing which featured backstories, character advantage rules, and related magical bric-a-brac for 10 monsters. It has a 100-copy rint run and costs $15.95 plus shipping. Here are a few pics featuring the front cover, back cover, and front page.

- The Chamber of Mazarbul's (I STILL can't type that!) D&D Next playtest reports continue with Skills, Monsters, and Concluding Thoughts.
- Kobold Press has posted the winning spell in its Lost Magic competition. The winner is portal jaunt by Jeff Lee.
- Stuffer Shack has posted an RPG Site of the Year nomination list. It's a heck of a list of sites well worth checking out - every one of these sites is excellent; and some are new to me and are a welcome addition to my reading list:

- The latest installment of Fiddleback's bi-weekly boardgaming column Do Not Pass Go here at EN World has been posted. In this article, he discusses his collection of boardgames and advises us to try games before buying them.
- Fantasy Flight Games has a preview of the new expansion for Descent: Journeys in the Dark. In this preview of Labyrinth of Ruin shows off some of the 19 new quests that players will be able to undertake.
- Fantasy Flight Games reminds you that they have events scheduled for Star Wars Day (the weekend of May 4th) at their events center. In addition to playing Star Wars: The Card Game, X-Wing and Edge of the Empire you'll also be able to hear from lead game designer Jay Little and author Troy Denning. Special goodies will be available to mark the occasion.
- FFG also announced the upcoming release of the Starfield Game Tile Kit for X-Wing. The game tile kits will feature twelve 1 foot square tiles that can be arranged in a variety of configuration for you X-Wing minis to fly on. Some tiles show the planet Alderaan while others show the Death Star to give your battles the sense of urgency they deserve.
- Battlestar Galactica gets a new expansion from FFG as well. The Daybreak Expansion will have new character sheets, crisis cards and will introduce The Demetrius. New plastic Centurion figures are included to replace the previous cardboard tokens. The expansion is expected to release in the 3rd quarter of 2013.
- On July 26th you'll be able to purchase the board game version of Looney Lab's Fluxx game. Players need to have the right pieces in the right places in order to win. Fluxx: The Board Game will retail for $29.99
- Galaxy Defenders is a cooperative tactical board game, inspired by the classical Sci-Fi movies and video games of the ’80s and ’90s.
